We call those pigeons here. :)

Wow. I'm tempted to skip the idea of a Mossberg 500/590, and go straight for one of these now... (Its been on the wishlist before, but...)

Don't. Saiga is pis of S...t. Big one. Try this: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=170639141

OK, I pay enough to buy almost three more Mossbergs, and I get a total of three more rounds capacity?

That's not cost-effective, sir.

Also, no info on spare magazines, and even if they were available and cheap, they are seriously bulky.

Put a Speedfeed stock on your Mossberg, and practice combat reloads.

Mon, May. 24th, 2010 01:00 pm (UTC)

Is it original folding stock, that came with that "Saiga"?

Mon, May. 24th, 2010 02:27 pm (UTC)

very nicely refinished. i didn't like the way the saigas i've seen look, but a LOT of people buy them like candy.

Nice equipment for Saiga!

I want this magazine in Russia.
But it's impossible. Only 10-round clips possible to use by gun-law :-(

can you say "roombroom" 20 times.... fast?

turkchief: I bought a 20 GA Saiga...

It has proven to be the most temperamental , must unreliable weapon brand new out of the box I have ever owned. A friend of mine wants to buy it and try to make it run. I'm using the money to buy either a Mossberg SA-20 or a used Winchester 140.....TC

olegvolk: Re: I bought a 20 GA Saiga...

This one runs. Box magazines are easier to handle but the drum is more reliable, as almost none of the cartridges are under much spring pressure.

rustymaggot: Re: I bought a 20 GA Saiga...

count the gas holes. use a piece of bailing wire bent like a hook and see if the holes are drilled thru. ill bet its got less than 4. saiga shotguns need at least 3 to run reliably and 4 is better. a few sliped thru from the factory with holes that did not get drilled. i learned this working in a shop that did custom saiga12's. ive pulled the gas block and drilled the missing holes on at least 2 dozen saigas.

its a pain to fix and takes some skill to put in the gas holes, but once its fixed the gun will run.
