Agreed. Though, my instructors would have told her to move the index finger of her weak/supporting hand down below the trigger guard, rather than out in front of it.

I concede that point, but there are many successful shooters who do use the trigger guard. Not my personal preference (I feel it gives the offhand too much leverage that can throw the shot), but who am I to judge. :)

I’ve tried to stop myself from using the trigger guard that way, but many thousands of rounds have ingrained the muscle memory too far at my age to change now.

I agree

Your model is beautiful in a striking, classical way, too.

Nice quote, thanks, I'm surprised I hadn't heard it.

I'm pretty sure it's one of the aphorisms of Lazarus Long, probably from Time Enough For Love (http://www.amazon.com/Time-Enough-Love-Robert-Heinlein/dp/0441810764/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1244163658&sr=8-1).

Thanks. That book has been on my list for some time due to "Always place your clothes and weapons where you can find them in the dark" - Lazarus Long

That quote was in my collection for a while before I realized it was even a fictional character.

Robert A Heinlein

If you read any/all/most of his books, you're sure to find a suitable conservvative quote somewhere.
For a man who started out his life as a liberal, he sure ended up as one of the most interesting conservative sci-fi writers ever.
I place him in the Top 3 of the Golden Age Sci-Fi writers, along with Dr Asimov and Bradbury.

Lazarus Long

the best one I think was where Robert Anton Heinlein's Long said "Stupidity cannot be cured with money, or through education, or by legislation. Stupidity is not a sin, the victim can't help being stupid. But stupidity is the only universal capital crime; the sentence is death, there is no appeal, and execution is carried out automatically and without pity." I carry the Springfield 1911A1 - since 1996.
