Urgent: need a bokken and a katana, a wakizashi or a tanto
One potential snag.  My bokken is inaccessible (long story).  I'm trying to track one down with my friends in Nashville.  Do you have friends who could lend you swords?

I have a photo shoot this Monday with an out of town martial artist. Any ideas on where I could get those items for use as props?

UPDATE: thanks to good friends, we have a solution!

Worldwide Liquidators, as Cummins Tools is now known, usually has sets up here for like 20 bucks. Their the cheap stainless ones, but you might check to see if those would work to take pictures. You might check other such discount places, you never know what you might find.

I'd contact a local knife/martial arts supply shop, see if they will loan you the equipment for a couple pro shots for ad purposes.

Ermmm ... most "katanas" aren't.

A properly made katana is about $2000 purchase, minimum.

True, but for photo-shoot prop work I suspect the cheap crap for sale in many places would do.
