As a die hard HK fan, I have to ... smile. I can also say with absolute certainty that a .45acp brass will not go in a .40S&W HK USPc mag. (Which saves any embarrassing feed problems.

I have used the MP5 platform forever. It is far and away my favorite of any SMG, again, ever.

Apart from $$$$$, and not getting a lot of love from H&K unless you are military, what is the issue?

Yeah, pretty much what I said. If their weapons are shite, that's one thing. That their deliberate sales and marketing strategy doesn't bring the love from civilian shooters is another (doesn't mean that they aren't missing an opportunity, but it is their company).

The PPSH-41 is a better SMG, and cost about a tenth as much open market ... if even that much.

At the last SMG competition I participated in, I had no trouble beating the HK fan boys who were competing.

I placed second behind a man shooting an Uzi ... he cleared the last table in .75 seconds to my .89. The bastard ....

I read a story on darwin awards about a guy going through bootcamp who managed to get 32 rounds of ammunition in his M16 magasine... by putting the bullets in in alternating directions(one right way, next wrong way, etc). Luckily for him, the guy who wrote the article had picked up on it and stopped him before he fired his weapon(otherwise when he took his first shot, the recoil would make the weapon try to chamber the next round, which was backwards, possibly making it go off and blowing the weapon up).
