White, middle-aged, male, etc.. I remember seeing clips on TV of Black Panthers doing drills with their rifles back in the 1960s. At that time, we were apparently supposed to be afraid of black people with guns. Then came GCA '68, when we had to sign for every box of ammunition. Remember that?

I don't think any of the profiling details are so important in and of themselves, except insofar as they serve the anti-freedom purposes of the Left.

I believe the main impetus behind the anti-gun movement is the same as that of the neo-Marxists-- envy. Whether it be a white guy we're supposed to hate, or a group of armed black guys, or an old lady in NOLA with a revolver-- if they have the equipment and the skills and the state of mind that says "I'm capable of taking care of myself, thank you very much", we're supposed to hate them and want to put them in their places.
