Says so right there in The Bill Of Rights. Last I checked the People includes gays and lesbians.

I knew a self proclaimed "Flaming Fag" who also owned a very nice collection of AKs. The collection has almost every version and copy of the rifle made in most every country that made it. He inherited it from his step dad who taught him the safe use of firearms, and treated an obviously gay young boy with far more respect than you yourself are showing with your trolling reference.
His gun fearing wussy leftist friends were always aghast at his NRA membership, and Class3 firearms license. But as he points out, if ever there was a Gay Pogrom in his city, 90% of his acquaintances were doubtless to show up at his house for protection. Funny how Evil guns and gun owners you know are, until the fecal matter hits the air recirculating device.

When asked what do all the rednecks say to him when he goes shooting, it usually is "Nice, can I try one?" or "Where do you get your 5.45x39?" or some thing similar. Hey, even the biggest homophobe is gonna be ultra polite to a gay guy holding a full auto AK, but for the most part, most of us really don't care.

"Gays and lesbians" has always seemed redundant to me, since lesbians are, well, gay. It's kinda like saying "cats and felines".

I use it because they(gays. lezbos. the bozo who trolled on in...) tend to. But I do see your point. But most lazy brains (and the world seems full of them) would think, when you say "Gays", you mean males.
Sometimes the Dept of Redundancy Dept is needed to help those slow brains about the point one is attempting to make.
