Technique and equipment

All of the recent photos were taken with Canon 5D, 100mm macro lens and a 25mm extension tube. Light came from 550EX on camera flash. The reason it doesn't look like direct flash is that I took a mylar reflector used for keeping my car cooler in the summer and put it almost all the way around the subject. I put the camera into the opening and bounced the flash off the side or back of that reflector. That served to bounce the light around fairly evenly and retain enough of it to expose at f11 at 1.25x lifesize magnification (effective f25 or so). It also kept the wind out.

Unfortunately, macro really shows up all sensor dirt and dust. I least cleaned it with swabs three weeks ago and now have to decide between cleaning it the same way again or trying to find some other solution. Suggestions please.
