What medium was the expanded bullet shot into?

It looks just plain evil with the copper jacket bent back like that at the ends.

Makes me almost want to go out and buy a .40 Short&Weak -nah! I'll stick with 10mm and .45APC -but .40Liberty makes a good girls gun when they move up from 9mm ;)

Standing water or some sort of jug/balloon? That is just a perfect example of an expanded JHP. Beautiful actually (I bet a lot of hoplophobes would disagree but who cares what they think)

I've never really tried to look for spend bullets downrange but I've found a few just laying around while setting up targets. Mostly they aren't so pretty. That one is so nice you could make a pendant out of it and give it to your sweetie!

Is that one of the fabled Black Talon bullets? It looks like it or one of the derivatives that spun off its design.

That's the non-black-and-scary version known as the Winchester Ranger Talon, (previously "SXT".) It's the same bullet, but it doesn't have the eeeeeevil black coating over the copper jacket.

And, regardless of how it looks, it's just another hollowpoint.

Now thats shiney!! You should fire of a hundred or so, encase them in clear epoxy and sell them as keychains.
