Please recommend a workflow for Sony A7R files (Windows 7)

With Canon 5D2, I can open RAW straight out of Adobe Bridge (CS 5.5). Can’t do that with A7R. My options seems to be the following:

  • Use DNG Converter (free but slow)
  • Update to the current Creative Studio subscription (more streamlined, expensive, though perhaps discounts exist)
  • Some other path?

I welcome suggestions.

Use 3rd side RAW converter.

This is what led me to upgrade to CS6 (for the EOS M). I don't know if the CS6 upgrade is still available, but I suspect so. The Camera Raw converter starting with CS6 separates the knowledge about specific raw formats from the actual software, and the implication is that updates to this database will continue to be made indefinitely.

(Anonymous): Lightroom Works w/ Raw Images

Lightroom 5+ works with all Sony A7 Series RAW files and can be used to both process the images and/or convert them for usage directly in Photoshop or via TIF or other formats.
