Today is the 25th anniversary of my family coming to America

On this day in 1989, I flew to New York from Rome (which was a waypoint on the way from the USSR). Today, I flew to back Rome to celebrate the anniversary with my parents who discovered America for me. My father is an American who was born in another country by mistake. He remedied that error as quickly as he could, bringing my mother and I along.

None of us like NYC. I suggested a relatively free American state, but parents wanted to go to Italy and visit with the people who helped us back then.

Yeah, NYC is dump. I see your point. I arrived through Boston and it is not as bad.

I would have gone to Italy over NYC, too. I will not willing go to NYC.
