With ergonomics like this - firing of this thingy must leave some bruises.

It is very mild to shoot, has a good trigger. However, with the stock atatched, it actually winds up closer to the body than without the stock, so older people might have trouble seeing the sights. Recoil is slight, accuacy is OK.

The really mild one to shoot is Lahti pistol, but that gun is for BIG hands.

Loading the Mauser is awkward, which is why they switched to removable box magazines later on.

Can't you get pinched by the hammer when it cycles?

i guess you could, i never got pinched by it when i fired one..the one i fired jammed alot . the trigger was good though. it felt like firing a rifle, i fired it better that way . firing without the stock was really awkward due to the unique shape and my hand was closer to harms way of the hammer but yet still didnt pinched. The owner of the pistol got pinched a time or two because he has big thick hands

That is sweet! A very nice image of a classic and just a cool looking firearm.
